Countryside Thatchers are fully qualified Magma Firestop® fire retardant applicators.
The fire retardants are environmentally friendly, designed and tested specifically for use on thatched buildings and produced to ISO 9002 standards. Magma Firestop is a water repellant external fire retardant which can be sprayed directly onto the surface of the roof.
In the United Kingdom Magma Firestop achieved the highest 'A' rating for its spread of flame credentials and protected the roof for well over half an hour. Within the fire retardant there is a special coating which helps to water proof the thatch.
